호리아트스페이스에서 세 번째로 선보이는 송필 작가의 개인전이 8월 28일부터 10월 10일까지 진행됩니다. 송필의 작업은 유년기에 겪은 고향 수몰의 기억에서 뻗어 나온 '상실'과 '뿌리내림'이라는 서사를 그려냅니다. 그 기억은 흐르고 사라지는 물의 표정을 스테인리스 위 동심원으로 응축시키기도 하고, 척박한 땅에서도 밑동을 내리는 바오바브나무(baobab--)로 자라나기도 하며, 겨울 끝에서 가장 먼저 피어나는 매화로 되돌아오기도 합니다. 그의 작업은 무엇을 잃든, 어디로 옮겨지든 살아있는 것은 다시 뿌리내리고 피어난다는 것을 증언합니다. 전시 제목 《Time Collected》는 이렇게 쌓여온 시간을 부식되지 않는 표면 위에 새깁니다.
HORI ART SPACE presents Song Feel's third solo exhibition at the gallery, Time Collected, running from August 28 to October 10. Song Feel's work traces a narrative of "loss" and "rootedness" that grows out of a childhood memory: the submersion of his hometown beneath a dam. That memory condenses into concentric circles on stainless steel, evoking the ripples of flowing, vanishing water; it grows into the form of a baobab tree, taking hold even in barren ground; and it returns as a plum blossom, the first flower to bloom at winter's end. His work bears witness to a simple truth—that whatever is lost, wherever it is transplanted, what remains alive will take root again and bloom. The exhibition title, Time Collected, inscribes this accumulated time onto surfaces that will not corrode.
