호리아트스페이스와 아이프미술경영은 오는 5월 15일부터 6월 22 일까지 오원배 작가의 신작 개인전 《기록, 우연과 의도 사이》를 개초 합니다. 오원배 작가는 인물과 인물을 둘러싼 기하학적인 배경과 표 현주의적인 화풍을 통해 인간의 실존적인 고민을 표출했습니다.
이와 같은 주제 의식은 드로잉을 통해 발현됩니다. '기록으로서의 드 로잉'은 잠재의식을 이끌어내는 일차원적인 행위인 동시에 작가의 사 유와 상상을 통해 비현실을 현실화하는 과정을 기록하는 행위이기도 합니다. 무수한 시간 동안 켜켜이 쌓인 생생함과 순간성의 드로잉은 오원배 작품의 특징입니다.
전시 기간 중 연계프로그램으로 미술사학자 정영목 서울대 명예교수 와 함께 오원배 작가의 작품세계와 근원에 대해 탐구하고자 < 작가와 의 대화 > 시간을 마련하려고 합니다. 오원배 작가의 '사유와 상상' 속 으로 여러분을 초대합니다.
HORI ART SPACE is delighted to present a solo exhibition entitled A Trace, Intended or by Chance by Oh Wonbae, in collaboration with AIF Art Management. The artist showcases expressionistic pieces that explore human existential themes, featuring human figures set against geometric backgrounds.
This thematic awareness is effectively manifested through the medium of drawing. "Drawing as a trace" is seen as a one-dimensional act that unveils the subconscious. At the same time, it serves as a process of documenting the unreal, transforming it into tangible reality through the artist's creative thoughts and imagination. Oh Wonbae's art is characterized by the vibrant intensity built up through extensive hours of dedication, alongside the transient quality inherent in the drawings.
As part of the exhibition's program, a "Dialogue with the Artist" session is planned to delve into Oh Wonbae's artistic journey and fountainhead. This event will feature discussions with art historian Jung Young-mok, professor emeritus at Seoul National University.
