Jin Hwanmin (b. 1999) studied ceramics at Dankook University and has completed his MFA in the Department of Ceramics and Glass at the Graduate School of Hongik University. While repeatedly making the traditional moon jar form, he focuses on the act itself, which leaves a different trace each time: fine bubble marks remain on the surface, shaped by the strength of his breath and by chance. He has exhibited at the Hongik Museum of Art, Yeongam Pottery Museum, Yanggu Porcelain Museum, Gana Art Center, Insa Art, Shinsegae Gallery, Backroom Gallery, and AOD Museum, among others. His awards include prizes at the 1st Hongju Art Competition, the 42nd Korea Creative Art Competition, the 26th Gwanak Contemporary Art Competition, and the 5th Goheung Buncheong Art Competition, and in 2022 he was selected for an artist support program by Yongin City. He has also taken part in the opening drawing show at K-Forum K-Heritage, a drawing show at the KINTEX Global World Expo, and a lecture at the Gyeonggi Ceramic Fair at COEX. His works sold out on Upbit NFT.
